What Is Construction Hoarding?

Construction hoarding is the temporary barrier fence erected around building sites, renovations and fit-out projects. In Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Municipality require hoarding around most construction sites to ensure public safety and prevent dust and debris.

Beyond safety, printed hoarding is powerful outdoor advertising. A development site in a busy Dubai street can be seen by thousands of motorists and pedestrians every day — making the hoarding panels valuable advertising real estate for developers, contractors and main contractors.

Types of Hoarding We Supply in Dubai

1. PVC Banner Hoarding

Printed on heavy-duty 550 gsm PVC flex, PVC banner hoarding is the most cost-effective option for short-to-medium projects. It is lightweight, fast to produce and easy to install on a steel or timber frame. Mesh variants allow airflow to reduce wind loading on exposed sites.

2. Aluminium Composite Panel (ACP) Hoarding

ACP hoarding panels are the premium choice for long-duration projects and high-visibility sites in Dubai. Digitally printed direct to panel, ACP boards deliver sharp, high-resolution graphics and last 3–5 years outdoors. They look clean and premium — the standard choice for luxury developments.

3. Perforated Mesh Hoarding

Perforated mesh banners allow visibility through from inside the site (for safety) while displaying full-colour graphics to the public. Ideal for coastal or wind-exposed sites across the UAE.

4. Scaffold Wrap Banners

Large-format banner wraps printed to cover scaffolding on high-rise and low-rise buildings. Available in net mesh or solid PVC, printed at up to 5 m wide and any length required.

Dubai Municipality Hoarding Requirements

All construction hoarding in Dubai must comply with Dubai Municipality and Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) guidelines:

• Minimum height: 2.4 metres (higher on arterial roads)
• Must display: project name, developer, contractor name and permit number
• Material must be solid (no gaps) adjacent to public footpaths
• Must be maintained in good condition throughout the project
• Graphics must not contain pricing or promotional offers
• Hoarding must be removed within 30 days of project completion
